It's a provocative, sure-to-be-controversial move aimed at highlighting President Trump's immigration crackdown as his 100th day in office approaches.
Driving the news: The posters which read "ARRESTED" specify various crimes linked to the pictured immigrants and have the White House's official logo at the bottom.
The "roughly 100" posters were being placed strategically along "Pebble Beach," where TV news crews do live shots in front of the mansion. A White House official told Axios the intent is for the posters to be visible behind TV journalists reporting from those positions.

He's leaning heavy into the immigration stuff where he has more support. Expect all hands on deck for this messaging to reach nauseating levels.

(429 posts)innocent until proven guilty. "Arrested" does not equal "convicted."
But, then again, if these people won't receive due process, we can just assume they're all guilty! Problem solved!
This entire maladministration is like watching a cheap knock-off of the 80s TV show "COPS." I recall a conversation my brother and I had in the year 1999 talking about how reality TV was going to be America's downfall. At the time, we just meant the way it was contributing to the dumbing-down of our citizenry, but I don't think either of us really, truly realized that it quite literally would become the death knell of our once-grand, 250 year-old experiment (The Apprentice, anyone?).
I hope some lawyer has the balls to bring a class action suit for defamation.

(1,121 posts)Put up a giant electronic billboard with all the faces of people arrested or deported including the three children, Wisconsin judge, Milwaukee Judge, students, hairdressers, farm workers and other laborers. Let's help tRump with the exposure of all the "good" he has done to these "illegals". Everyone should know that his lists of arrests is not complete without these other folks.
