I do like accents and dialects, but people who are learning English as a second language, well, they have at least 1 more language than most Americans!

we would be happy if the LEOs would just check driver's licenses at the weigh stations, to make sure they have a CDL driver's license.

Two of the most horrific Semi accidents here in Colorado recently, were caused by immigrant drivers that had no training in the 18 wheelers, and no required CDL...........Turns out the Trucking company had 20-40 other drivers they employed that had no CDL's, working for them....

I see that Virginia requires it to take the hazmat test but you can take the CDL in all kinds of languages

also setup various checkpoints throughout cities and town and have ICE pull over truck drivers to do the "English" tests.

Just an asinine policy. There is no official language of the US. As long as they can pass their CDL and associated road/safety tests, Don the Con shouldn't have any say on it.

I know someone in trucking. The margins are very tight and it’s way more complicated than you could imagine.

To get a CDL you already have to read English. We have a lot of Trucking companies in El Paso and the bridges are constantly busy. All of the Mexican drivers have to show their CDL at the crossing.
