Wait, is today -- Thursday, May 8 -- really a national holiday? Trump says yes. But don't expect a day off.

Earlier this week, President Trump took to Truth Social to declare two new national holidays. One is still several months away: a commemoration of the end of World War I slated for Nov. 11 — a day that already happens to be a federal holiday (Veterans Day).

So … not much change there and plenty of time to prepare.

Trump’s other new national holiday — a commemoration of the end of World War II in Europe — arrived with a lot less advance warning. In fact, it’s today: Thursday, May 8.

“We won two World Wars, but we never took credit for it — Everyone else does!” Trump wrote. “All over the World, the Allies are celebrating the Victory we had in World War II. The only Country that doesn’t celebrate is the United States of America, and the Victory was only accomplished because of us.”

Marks VE day with a picture of Iwo Jima flag raising.

Wants to replace Veterans Day.

Wishes Happy Memorial Day to Japanese military which killed many thousands of American troops.

Used Arlington Cemetery for a photo op.

Insults all POWs with his 'captured' comment.

Absolutely insane, moronic bullshit. I don't get it. Belittling allies of WW2, who actually had the war in their neighborhoods. Calling on Jessie Waters, OAN and other propaganda ministries to explain to me why England, France and others are suckers and losers because they are taking credit for "our win".

The fact is, BECAUSE of America's sacrifice in World War 2, OUR then allies (save the Ruskies) have been loyal from tip to tail. THEY know what we did and they've proven that over the years. Those relationships built because of World War 2 were unbreakable...UNTILL YOU CAME ALONG.

I bet anything if this guy was around during WW2 he'd have NOT been assigned to a garrison tank brigade, rather he'd have fornicated in his "own personal World War 2" trying to avoid the clap. This man is absolute dog shit.
