The Right Wing Media Is Really Pushing The Latest CPI Report

They are pushing that inflation is cooling. I have seen a dozen articles scroll across my home page.

I don't think they liked the dollar strengthening, I think they want a weak dollar and strong Crypto. Krasnov has made 3 billion dollars so far and counting from bribes done in his Crypto memes.

Prices decline only in depressions or big recessions. Neither desirable. 2.4% inflation is effectively cooled Bernardo de La Paz May 2025 #4

inflation is not cooling, and people are still losing their jobs and what the GQP budget will do the us is a travesty.

We feel it, the rich do not.

A target of 2.0% inflation is desirable, but bumping around 2.4% for months is effectively cooled inflation. I do not think you want deflation (decline in prices from current levels to say 2023 levels). There was deflation the early 1920s, late 20s/early 30s, 1949, and 2008. Not good times. So saying "prices are still high" is a bit of mis-direction. They are what they are and stability should be goal. Zero inflation typically means no growth. Deflation means contraction.

Job losses will increase in coming months and the budget will not help other than perhaps defense jobs.
