Propaganda works and republicans own the tv and radio stations.

they don't have coverage anymore.

Those people have friends and family.

Take away medical care or social security: I doubt there is any amount of propaganda that will overcome that.

Of the 300,000 government workers Trump/Musk got rid of so far, how many will believe "This Trump thing sure worked out good for me!!"

Trump is underwater on nearly every issue except immigration where he's at ~51%.

Many authoritarian regimes have fallen because reality got in the way of propaganda.

Nazis fought for a lost cause all the way down the streets to the fuhrer bunker in Berlin.

Brainwashed people are not rational and it's good to understand that.

The only explanation for severely damaging the American people and the country.
Going against the wishes of the American people.

They feel immune from consequences.

If the Senate removes the filibuster, what stops them from aggressively changing all kinds of rules for elections or anything else?

It won't hit immediately. This year's budget ends in Spetembet. But the cuts won't start until 2026, and perhaps not until late 2026.

Specific Proposals:

Work Requirements: The bill would mandate work requirements for able-bodied adults without dependents, requiring them to work or participate in qualifying activities for at least 80 hours per month to maintain Medicaid eligibility.

Eligibility Verification: States would be required to conduct more frequent eligibility checks, potentially leading to increased churn and coverage loss.

Citizenship Verification: Stricter citizenship verification requirements could also lead to coverage loss for eligible individuals.

Funding Cuts to States: The bill proposes to reduce federal funding to states that provide coverage to undocumented immigrants or have expanded Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act.

Provider Taxes: The bill would limit or eliminate certain taxes that states levy on healthcare providers to help fund their Medicaid programs.

Other Provisions: The bill also includes provisions related to drug pricing, funding for Planned Parenthood, and gender-affirming care for minors.
