While I only kept up with her in recent years from listeners who posted here, I had a sad feeling when she quit so abruptly that it was something truly awful. It is hard to know what to say. Maybe if I didn't know full well what she is describing and what that portends, it would be easier to say something. As it is, I will say I hope she does receive compassionate care that addresses her needs to the full degree possible. I am extremely saddened she did not receive the preventive care she most certainly SHOULD have before now.

I am sorry to read this-- for her and for those like her who deserve so much better.

She’s a shining but VERY hard-won example why NOBODY should smoke cigarettes.

We’ve all lost st so many people who were precious to us. As long as there are cigarettes, there will be cancer. Of the lung(s) and beyond. It’s a lose-lose proposition all around. For EVERYONE - the smokers and everybody who cares about them.

I wish cigarettes never existed.
