Stephanie Ruhle at her best: HER VERY BEST.

If you want to know what is going on, get two Wall Streeters together to chew the fat.

I'm about a fourth of the way into it, may have to finish watching later, but already Steph made an excellent point in a clear concise way about the essential difference between Business and Government, and why all those who think that it takes business smarts to make government work the way it should have it dead wrong. She started with an observation I've not heard made before, that all of the original firms that made up the original Dow are no longer there.

I'm not directly quoting her here, but she essentially said that the primary purpose of business is to maximize profits in the short term, long term stability is not a primary goal in business. Whereas government has as a primary goal to provide protection and add security to the lives of citizens. Different goals require different methodologies, and you can't transplant business principles onto government functions.

Steph has a deep wealth of experience covering the corporate community, but she has sound human values. That makes her perspective on the economy valuable and of interest to me

7. Sadly, US politicians, often only think in the short term, i.e. what will get them re-elected in November.

Expending political capital on important legislation whose benefits won't be seen for years, like the CHIPS Act, is very politically dangerous. It's why we don't have nice things.

Yes, she is good at explaining why government is not a business, and shouldn't be. I've heard her do it on her show.

communication skill-set to break through as a leader. However, I don't think
she wants to get into the political side of it. (IMO) She would be great at it!
