He not only doesn't know that Medgar Evers landed on Omaha Beach, he doesn't care. He couldn't care less what Evers, Harvey Milk, or any of the others who had ships named after them that he wants to rename did or who they are.

In the Hegseth-Trump universe, there is only one criterion for greatness: being a straight white male. Those people are not straight, white males, which to Schlump and Hegseth means they can't possibly have done anything to deserve having a ship named after them.

It's a warped, sick, twisted way of looking at these outstanding people and their remarkable lives, but the drunk and his overgrown toddler boss have, tragically, been given the power to do this. There are no words for how wrong this is.
