We're being too harsh on Homeland Security Chief Crusty Gnome

After all, how should we expect the person in charge of all homeland security to recognize a sitting US Senator who is on the Homeland Security subcommittee? I mean, really? There are 100 senators, she certainly shouldn't be required to recognize ALL of them. And, anyways, I'm sure she had a legitimate reason for having Senator Padilla forcibly ejected and thrown to the ground and placed in handcuffs. After all, he didn't really identify - ANYBODY can say "I'm a US Senator". And besides, she was probably panicking because she thought he was from the ASPCA. (Oh, for those halcyon days when there was no work, being the Governor and you could dispose of that nasty little puppy that "didn't meet your expectations" by simply shooting it in the face with your pistol, without anybody saying anything! )
