In a time of fear & threats, Seattleâ€™s incoming Police Chief Shon Barnes just reminded us what real courage looks like. A Marine, a leader, & a defender of the Constitutionâ€”he stood up for our right to protest and pledged to keep his city safe, not silent.

He was terrific here too.

We had a school shooting and I loved the way he handled everything. He is a former teacher.

That’s what the LAPD said and then they started shooting rubber bullets at reporters and blocking off protesters trying to go home before the curfew and arresting them.
