Some of the flyovers planned for the Army parade have been canceled due to expected inclement weather, according to a U.S. Secret Service official, NBC News reports.
The parade is continuing, but it appears that they're proceeding through the military eras much more quickly than anticipated, NBC's Craig Melvin noted.
Storm Team4 meteorologist Jessica Faith said we could see spotty showers and strong to severe storms this evening. Much of the D.C. area is under a flood watch until 11 p.m. due to excessive rain over recent days and more likely.

(79,367 posts)I used to live next to Army and Navy bases and would see the Army helicopters.
I cannot remember seeing Army airplanes.
Navy of course has airplanes.
Yes jet flyovers are more impressive.

(10,404 posts)...have live ammo? Or would they have taken away all of the live ammo?
My mind wanders over to Egypt and Anwar Sadat....you got Trump, Vance, Hegseth, Cheung, and who knows who else on the reviewing stand.
Catch my drift? I'm sure I'm not the only one with this thought
