My dad was a past president of Washington's Gridiron Club and was on their music committee for nearly 25 years. After he passed, I was secretly tapped to submit some of my own lyrics for their shows, since he had taught me so well. Officially, no one but Gridiron members are supposed to do that, so I was very honored. I think the Statute of Limitations on that has run out by now, but I didn't say a word for 15 years afterward!
