(474 posts)I believe that as a country we have finally descended into such a state of moribund stupidity that it just may be terminal.
I dont say this lightly and hope Im wrong, but the last decade has really changed everything that I ever believed about the US.
The lack of, and maybe just the inability to, apply critical thinking skills and weigh simple cause/effect scenarios by the general public is shocking.
Adding to that the acceptance of hateful rhetoric and actions by so many citizens is just grotesque .

I no longer feel elitist calling them morons. They are morons and we need to explain that to them, not cuddle them. Cuddling them got us to this point.
