Surprise! Tr*mp Mobile Phone Would Track Users Through AI

https://www.newsweek.com/trump-mobile-tracking-users-through-ai-2086834

According to the privacy policy page of Trump Mobile's new website, AI will be used to "enhance the performance and functionality of the Trump Mobile Services." This will be done through tracking usage patterns, including visited pages and searches to "predict your interests and preferences," as well as IP addresses and location information.

It goes on to state that both usage and device data collected by the AI systems may be shared with third parties that "help us bring you the products and services we offer," but that customers can access the data and opt out of certain uses, "including profiling activities for personalized content or advertising."

The Trump Mobile website states that AI systems will collect data provided "directly or indirectly through your interactions with the Trump Mobile Services." It adds that AI may also be used to make automated decisions, including "content curation and recommendations," as well as conduct fraud detection by analyzing user behavior to "identify and flag unusual activity."

Donald Trump's T1 Mobile Phones Will Be Made in US 'Eventually'—Eric Trump

"Barring miracles, building a smartphone entirely in the U.S. by September is all but impossible," Tinglong Dai, professor at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, told Newsweek.

"The U.S. doesn't currently have the supply chain to support that. We don't make key components like screens, memory chips, or camera modules here at scale," he added. "Even final assembly would be a stretch without significant lead time and preparation."

It would he VERY expensive if sourced and built in the U.S.

Trump Mobile's made-in-US iPhone 17 competitor is really made in China

In a post to X by analyst Max Weinbach, it seems that the T1 closely resembles the T-Mobile REVVL 7 Pro 5G. The specifications of the display and the odd camera resolutions match up with the T-Mobile device, along with other details.

That smartphone is made by Wingtech, owned by the Chinese-owned manufacturer Luxshare. The T-Mobile version is believed to be built in Kiaxing, Wuxi, or Kunming, in China.

The T1 appears to be a reskinned version of the REVVL 7 Pro 5G, in a new enclosure and with slightly moved around cameras. This smartphone normally costs $250 at full retail, and even goes down to $169 on sale like it is on Amazon right now.

For the Amazon price, you don't get the gold-colored trim, of course.

Or as one Hacker News poster remarked:
What I assume the "assembled in America" parts list will look like:

- 1x Smartphone (shipped from China)

- 1x Gold plastic smartphone outer casing (shipped from China)

Certainly not with all the posting I do, hopefully useful and informative.

The day just flew by.

Let me know when microscopic CPU chips cost less than the current versions.

I have some old 8-bit and 16-bit CPU's, not that I collect them.
I used to build systems at the board level and use them.

For my investment, which was considerable at the time, I basically built a career.

Not bad.

But you get a zillion times the computing power nowadays in a watch. It has been a wild ride.

Referring to your post, it feels great to understand things from real experience than from the internet bullshit and lies mill.

It's REAL when you build stuff and use it.
