In 2015 when the Republican party chose an authoritarian Strong Leader who was not committed to democracy to be their candidate they put democracy in the US on life support. They put party before country because they couldn't win without Trump. I don't see how the country can just go back when one of the two viable parties has shown that it is not committed to democracy.

I thought she came off like she was trying to trap Hegseth in a word trap. The "yes or no" gambit needs to be used sparingly. Otherwise, you look like you're just trying to trap your debate opponent into saying something. Using "yes or no" clumsily makes arguments that should win lose and even screws up the future use of "yes or no" by others on your side.
