I also don’t see them giving anything to Iran for free.
Also, from their point of view the US is something of a pain in the ass to them.

I do appreciate this report trying to calm things down and debunk misinformation. However, it would not be surprising for China to be doing this. As of January, 2024, Ethiopia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, and IRAN joined BRICS. While it's an economic alliance much like the G7, they still have an interest in Iran being bombed especially with Iran and Russia being long-term allies.

BRICS: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa. In addition to the 4 above, Indonesia joined in January 2025. Currently, BRICS accounts for ~40% of the world economy. The U.S. accounts for ~24%.
