Federal agents thought they could stay in the LA area neighborhoods they were terrorizing, they were wrong.

https://lapublicpress.org/2025/06/federal-agents-stay-at-la-area-hotels/

Thank you people of Pasadena, and thank you, to people all over the LA area who resist masked thugs lurking in our neighborhoods and then wanting to camp out there as well.

If even one of their hotels assists ICE the entire chain will be boycotted.

Let's start having the big corporations get some skin in the game.

That would be making "good trouble."

Are we honestly supposed to care? Makes you wonder if she's seen actual videos of armed masked anonymous men grabbing that 60 year old tamale vendor. Or taking down that Walmart kid. Are they Fucking kidding!

In an emailed statement, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said, “Attacks and demonization of ICE have resulted in officers facing a 413% increase in assaults. DHS has the ability to trace phone numbers and track location information. Any individual who participates in the doxxing of our brave federal immigration agents will be identified and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

I would think those CEOs would be screaming from the rafters. Do they not realize that no one will fill those jobs if people are lost to ICE? This is just insane.

if they thought they'd be hassled by a bunch of I*CE agents staying at the hotel/motel.

In fact, ICE is going to have to unmask and get into civvies if they want to stay anywhere even outside the city for the same reason.

Managers and owners aren't dumb. They know even documented workers are getting hassled by these guys. They are willing to lose some business in order to keep the hotels open. They'd have to close if staff refused to show up.

And, the inland empire, and every beach community between Malibu and imperial Beach. We can also rely on San Diego and San Francisco to pick up the ball and run with this idea.

Oh, I'm lily white but I know I'd be expected to do ten times the work to pick up the slack from coworkers who were too afraid to show up. You bet your ass this is going to spread, and fast, to any state where brown people are the bulk of hotel work forces.

People in red states will likely get fired if they walk of the job when ICE agents in full regalia show up, whether as guests or Gestapo. Civil isobedience has consequences but I think managers will learn very quickly it's better to flip on that "no vacancy" sign in a hurry than it is to lose half your staff and have to train new hires.

She played her trumpet outside the Glendale Hilton for two hours straight until her lips blistered. She says she was trying to help emphasize people’s chants with her trumpet-playing by mimicking the beat of them. And she said she plans to keep going at the next protest.

The moment is dark, and she said she has been feeling a sense of “overwhelm” and depression about what is happening. But going to these actions has actually “uplifted my spirit,” Quintero said.
