(25,752 posts)Even $5/gallon will have the American public howling for vengeance upon various OPEC nations. Over $10 and they'll start blaming shitty policies from F47 and the GOP, which would lead to, among other things, a widening margin of Democratic resurgence, which is unacceptable to them. So I'm thinking Congress forces through a loss-compensation package for the oil & gas companies to keep the retail prices below $10 as long as possible. $5-$10 works to their advantage. Over $10 does not. IMHO.
