She achieved celebrity status. Which is good for her; better than not not being talked about.

Dowd, Tapper, Maher, Clooney or any other celebrity.

But that doesn’t make them above criticism for their bad actions.

and her father a police inspector. She began her career at the Washington Star, apparently going up through the ranks before working for the New York Times. She started there in 1983. She has been in journalism since 1974, when she was 22 years old.

She is the one who "broke" the story about some unknown 1988 presidential candidate, Senator Joe Biden, over the "plagiarism" allegations.

She made her career largely off trashing Bill and Hillary Clinton. She is completely contemptible.

You might be confusing her with Sally Quinn, who literally slept her way to the top at Washington Post, ultimately marrying her much-older boyfriend, Ben Bradlee, and then tried to become the leading hostess in Washington since she pretty much failed at everything else as a journalist.

She is wrong in the worst ways and does that very consistently so is required no-reading for me.

She's been awful for at least a quarter century.
