These are not chess players. They aren't even good at checkers. They're good at one thing and that's throwing the board across the room when things aren't going their way.
I'd bet a hefty sum that any scenarios run by intel personnel for the event of an attack on Iran by the U.S. were ignored if even requested by anyone. But who is surely running scenarios are our NATO allies who are figuring how to stay out of this one and let Pol Pisspot go it alone after he demands their backup.
If all the indignation from other countries like Saudi Arabia and Russia over this bombing are genuine, it'll leave the incapacitated galoot with no "friends."

I wouldn't doubt that there's a part of Netanyahu that's glad to have someone else to take some flak in this whole fiasco. And like you said, there just might be cahoots.
