We look more and more like France on the eve of their revolution

The rich nobility in 1789 didn’t want to pay taxes. The poor were the ones paying the most. They were starving and the cost of food was high.

Our rich will profit handsomely from the trump Big Bull Shit Bill. The poor and middle class will pay for tax cuts for fat cats. Services for the poor will be cut.

In both cases the State was going bankrupt due to low (no) taxes on the wealthy.

And we know how that ended for the nobility.

Looks like either we fight or let them just let them kill us and get a dictator anyway.

There will be a worker revolt soon, because people will just be too tired to show up.

not only was it going to make work more efficient and in ten years the American worker would most likely have a 4 day work week and have much more free time. So naturally the corporations and millionaires realized that they could make less workers do more work so that was the end of that. That's also how millionaires became billionaires.

People have no stomach for what really needs to be done. We’re still way too comfortable and have too much to lose. And there are still way too many people on the side of the oppressors.

Things have to get bad, really bad, before we do what needs to be done. There’s no way to fix these problems bloodlessly.

Trump is still god almighty to nearly half the country. They are a cult and if Trump told them they all have to die tomorrow most of them would follow blindly.
A cult doesn’t care about annything except what the leader tells them to care about.

Revenue because their taxpayers are being deported.

Add to that every thing tbe feds cut that the state is expected to pick up. FEMA, Medicaid. Schools and the losses of revenue from farmers making no income because China not buying soybeans from us anymore and NO WORKERS TO CREATE THE WEALTH ( maybe they'll figure out their money is absolutely dependant on the WORKERS.

I also sing along very loudly and with passion, so much so that I have to close my doors and windows. My voice sucks and I speak no French so it is basically really bad but I feel patriotic and that more than makes up for it.

but for some reason I am drawn to it. I think it's a combination of lyrics, tune, and vocals. It's a wonderful combination.

When I watch the film Casablanca and they start singing this song instead of the Nazi's anthem I am always filled with the passion of resistance.
