Medicaid pays the healthcare bills for greedy employers

Many if not most of Medicaid recipients are employed. The reason they qualify for Medicaid is so many employers don't offer healthcare coverage to their employees anymore. That's what happens when R policies kill unions and cater to the wealthy.

The working poor are really getting screwed in this bill and people need to understand that it is not the lazy guy living in his mom's basement who benefits from this program. It's the part time worker who doesn't et healthcare coverage with their job and may have to juggle multiple part time jobs that don't offer insurance.

I think Dems should invite people like this to cut ads, appear in hearings, whatever. We need to put faces to these people and hear their stories.

on the State and later the federal government. Then vote against fixing or modernizing either system and tell everyone it’s no good and will fail unless we pass legislation to take healthcare away from people and insure its failure.

The republican long term plan in a nutshell.

Have to say this is a very sad day. I'll also add that Dem better get their messaging together. Right after the vote Peter Welsh went on MSNBC and talked like a college professor, very dryly and calmly, about the problems with the bill. I would not disagree with anything he said but the message needs to be MUCH simpler and less polite if we are going to break through.

Breakthrough. This is a cult, and they are going to only become more entrenched. We better be ready to take back DC by force in 3.5years

Home of the Brave
is a community of Americans who refuse to be silenced.

We’re lifting up the voices of people whose lives have been directly harmed by the Trump administration.

We won’t be bullied into silence. The first step in fighting back is speaking out. And that’s exactly what we are doing.

Put faces to the devastation that is about to come.

Should have done town halls like the MSNBC town hall that put faces on the fired federal workers.

I'm afraid Dems are using the strategy to let Krasnov burn it all down and then beat them in the next election.

I don't think it would have changed anything, because the Democrats were very successful in getting what was in the bill out. It was unpopular even with Republican voters.

The reason it passed was that too few Republican LEGISLATORS in the House or Senate were willing to vote against a bill that may admitted would hurt many constituents. The most some did was to try to trade their vote for something that helped just their state.
