I have not heard a word from my cousins in the City of Ruidoso, NM (FLASH FLOOD) UPDATE

UPDATE: Everybody including the animals are safe. That is all the info they want me to share at this point.

No email. No calls. We have left voice mail. They live near the river that usually looks like a creek.

It could just be that communication network is overloaded or temporarily down.

Please keep us posted!

Call the Sheriff to report them missing and request a wellness check.

Same with the Red Cross.

Call local hospitals to see if they've been admitted.

Also try the Coroner's office.

I hope they are evacuated or perhaps at home but without power and phone service.

This should give a pretty fair representation of the current situation in Ruidoso.

Hope your relatives are safe and dry.

Do you know who their employer is? Would they be in the midst of helping in any recovery efforts?

(they had fire evacuations last year btw)

It’s just crushing living on edge, my house is up on a hill, but this town has hills with rivers at the bottom and it’s a disaster in the burn scar areas. All the mud is washing away the houses below and the racetrack is the lifeblood. They’ve hauled all the horses away again.

I’ll hold your cousins in my heart Omaha Steve.

Ruidoso was a beautiful quaint town until the relentless fires then the floods.
