Masked ICE wants to get someone killed..... outside 100 Montgomery in SF's Financial District.

ICE is going to get someone killed.

This was outside 100 Montgomery in SF’s Financial District.

If you needed proof these rookie hires aren’t trained, here it is. Real feds de-escalate. They call for backup. They don’t drag people down the street w/a car.

Hope everyone’s OK.

One group ambush--bottle rockets to draw out detention guards, loaded rifles waiting to meet them.

The masked men, hiding their identities and pushed to act worse because they were incognito, but obviously masked to intimidate, were caught and charged.

In another--which somebody tried to call a "false flag" operation--ICE agents came out of the building before dawn and were shot at. The shooter was far from fascist per the printed material he had, and his car had Cordis Die spray painted on it. The shooter was dead. (If false flag, obviously an agent gave his life for the PR, which wasn't that extensive.)

And the video wasn't exactly peaceful retaliation. If I were caught in something like that--and I've been wise enough when faced with a demonstration just to go a few blocks out of my way, turn into a parking lot and head back the way I came or, if walking, just find a path far enough around the demonstration that I could avoid most of the abuse and insults because I had something else to do rather than join them--work, class, lunch before the dining hall stopped serving, or just finding a bathroom. (Not that I would have joined them, probably, but still, I usually didn't take random walks on campus or into the surrounding area.)

Imagine it's J6 and those are Capitol Police trying to detain somebody.

as a place made up of people who couldn’t get jobs at the more established and reputable federal policing agencies — so, FBI, U.S. Marshals, DEA, ATF, etc. Because of this, it has a high proportion of people who are there because they want to wear a uniform, knock people around and act tough. That’s an aspect of every policing organization. But more professional organizations do their best to weed those people out on the front end and instill discipline that keeps those impulses in check. There’s much less of that at ICE. So it’s never had a good reputation within federal law enforcement." - Josh Marshall, TPM
