(46,135 posts)If you can analyze Fox News smears and innuendo against Democrats, Im sure you fully capable of analyzing the smears and innuendo in this cartoon. Because theyre using the same playbook.

(46,135 posts)that the GOP controls congress.
Or perhaps they do understand, it is just Fox-style playbook: willfull misinterpretation and hyperbolic nonsense - theyll say anything to shit on Democrats.

(11,501 posts)This is like the politicians, usually republicon, who dodge a question, the host asks again, they dodge again and the host just moves on.
I hate that. It's shameful.

As Nixie said
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
Nixie
(17,938 posts)get the same treatment. We all know what these playbooks and cartoons are really about. Giving your power away to Republicans willingly and then complaining that Democrats are in the minority is a scam right wing dream.

(24,251 posts)activism for Democrats, so I know that you do not mean this as a slam against Dems and perhaps find it funny (we all have to laugh at ourselves sometimes). But IMHO it is "humor" from a RW perspective and propaganda to divide us. I am not a Schumer fan, but HE is not the problem here. The media and maga are. And this cartoon leaves them unscathed.

(93,368 posts)...for fuck sake, how is this any different from others putting words in our Democratic legislators and leaders' mouths?
It's disgusting that we can't even get people to post his actual efforts and statements here which have been as direct and forceful as anyone criticizing him.
More so because he IS actually there doing the job. It's a shame that we didn't elect enough Democrats for a majority, because when we had one, this man excelled along with our Democratic president with historic progressive accomplishments and progress.
But Schumer's critics just keep digging at our own party legislators like that's some kind of genius political strategy or effort.
I'll fucking advocate for our own Democratic leader by amplifying his efforts. It's as good as ANYTHING that's posted here - actual political advocacy for the party and against republicans, which I assume we're trying to do here.
Anyone else bother to post ANY of this? Just this PAST WEEK.
Goddamn shame.
Chuck Schumer @SenSchumer Jul 12
Republicans control the White House, the Senate, and the House.
Voters across the country are fed up with the chaos.
Chuck Schumer @SenSchumer Jul 10
Senate Republicans turned their back on their constituents.
They've ripped away health care.
They've denied food assistance to children.
They've exploded the nations debt.
They've shuttered Social Security offices and rural hospitals.
All to bow down to Trump.
Chuck Schumer @SenSchumer Jul 9
Senate Republicans have turned their back on Americans, all to please an out-of-control president who's disconnected from values or common sense.
