The right wing has stuck this topic so far down our throats for so many years and with so much force that I don't think they can pull off a "Poof and Gone" routine this time. I think due to their handling of the story (both past, but especially present), everyone sees the steaming pile sitting in the corner and stinking up the room, and it's gonna be tough to get that smell out.
