who grew up in a state that has been majority Hispanic for decades now. We co-exist peacefully here and in fact, depend on the immigrant population for important work such as construction and farming. However, the huge numbers of Hispanic people are not just immigrants. The majority are citizens and just as "American" as anyone else.
