When conspiracy kills - Anti vax influencer's daughter dies after rejecting chemo for coffee enemas

Paloma Shemirani: Brother recounts moment he found out his twin sister died after rejecting cancer treatment

The twin brother of a young woman who died of a preventable cancer after choosing to have coffee enemas instead of conventional treatment has recalled the moment he found out she had died.
Gabriel Shemirani says his sister Paloma was pressured to reject conventional treatment for her disease by their medical conspiracy theorist mother and father and he blames them for her death.

Instead, they convinced her to try an unproven “alternative treatment program” — once promoted by cancer conwoman Belle Gibson — which involved repeated coffee enemas about five times a day to “cleanse toxins” from her body.
Paloma, a 23-year-old Cambridge graduate, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma and died in the Royal Sussex County Hospital on July 24 in 2024.

The actions of her mother Kay ‘Kate’ Shemirani, a disgraced former NHS nurse and rabid anti-vaxxer, is being scrutinised by an inquest into Paloma’s death by the Kent and Medways Coroners Court.
Gabriel has been campaigning to have his parents held to account and is pushing for legal changes to protect patients from medical misinformation. “I couldn’t save my sister, but there’s still time to save others,” he told The Sun.
People are dying. This needs to stop.”
“The law is so out of date, that we can have a woman that’s killed her daughter still claiming to be a nurse.
“I believe my sister was being coerced. It’s conspiratorial coercion when you convince her the elites are going to kill them, big pharma’s going to kill them, even the doctors at the hospital are going to kill them.”

How awful. Losing your twin sister and then having to go after your own parents because they are a danger to society.

The BIL convinced both his parents to stop getting vaccinated for anything.

Well, his dad (my father in law) got a bad case of flu, went to the hospital where he was diagnosed with pneumonia and that also the flu virus had attacked his heart muscle.

This was right about Christmas. He died in March due to the complications of the flu.

My husband is not able to forgive his brother for the brainwashing work.

At least, after losing her husband, my mother in law has gone back to getting all her vaccines.

Unfortunately, here in the US we have a psychopath running HHS whose stupidity and anti-science idiocy regarding vaccines will cause far too many needless deaths in the coming years.

There father was diagnosed early enough, but went "the natural way". Long story short, towards the end, he went to chemo/radiation...but by that time its too late.

One relative had stage one, beat it with just chemo, but it still took a toll out of her, but she lived. Yes, treatment is not pretty, but drinking nasty and disgusting wheat grass is not going to save you.

Another relative, had lung cancer, non smoker, don't remember all the details, but the doctors told him to get his affairs in order and go out and have a good time. His type was not going to give him long. Nope. Some family members sent him to controversial treatments, had him jogging insanely every day, etc. He still died.

When I had a cancer scare that turned out to be false, thankfully. Told the doctor if was too late, I would get every loan I could in my name and have the wildest time of my life.

I lost my mom to multiple myeloma. We had a an excellent oncologist who is now my doctor, though I really hope I don’t end up needing his services for anything but preventive checks. Had a fair amount ofchronic stress..

But 2 aunts of sorts were into that bullshit and didn’t get proper cancer care when they got cancer and of course they both passed away. And it was breast cancer in both those cases. BC is not like MM, which is only detected in later stages and doesn’t have a cure. They would both probably still be alive had they not basically committed suicide. It’s a cancer with a fairly high survival rate. It was so stupid.

That was Steve Jobs as well. There is a lot of this really poisonous disinfo out there on social media attacking cancer treatment and recommending this garbage..

I could barely stand to watch that show Apple Cider Vinegar. It wasn’t even Belle Gibson. That other girl..she’s also based on a real person.
It was just painful to watch her bullshit herself to death.

But well at least a few high profile cases like that may keep people from falling for that crap. You don’t wanna mess with cancer, heart disease etc. It isn’t exactly like being told you are hysterical and refusing to be sedated. It’s cancer..You should go with the gold standard in medical care not drivel like drinking wheat grass..

reliable health information. In addition to having compromised HHS and the CDC, they're even killing routine FDA food inspections.

Anyone who still values their health is better off getting out of here. This shit is nuts. There is no other conclusion to come to than that this regime wants to kill as many Americans as possible.

Clarification: This regime wants to kill as many unschooled Americans as possible.

Unschooled people who don't have access to reliable health information. Meaning black and brown people.

Since there is no one specific case where he has recommended withholding life-saving treatment, I would rather say that he is advocating a national scenario whose consequences could easily be the painful and unnecessary deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, more over time.

The most perverse aspect of the Trump cabinet is that it contains complete crackpots, long known to be crackpots, whom the Republican Senate confirmed into office, even though they knew in advance that they were crackpots. That, to me, is the very definition of “enemies, domestic”.

The saddest part of this entire debacle to me is the evidence that a majority of Americans have no appreciation for the importance of scientific inquiry. No clue what it is or the many ways in which the lives we've become accustomed to depend on federally-funded science.

I never expected to see this.

You have to be tough to make it through chemo. But, you do it. You have no choice. Get through chemo, and you are either in remission, or not. If not, do some more. Radiotherapy, stem cell therapy (rough in its own right), other chemo.

If that doesn't work, find a way to get one of the bi-specific antibody therapies. This is cutting edge therapy that is not as rough as chemo, but takes longer. It is extremely promising.

I'm not mentioning the expenses, only that there is a pathway. You have to fail the firstline defenses before you qualify for, say, Glofitamab, but you can get there. Losing a 23-year-old when they didn't even try to go the whole road is nauseating.

This is what these antivaxers want, death for others. Lymphoma is not a vaccine disease, but I see no sense in what Bob is doing. It seems to me that it has to do with the getting of money by those that think they can't become ill. There are those cultists that are senseless, but those in charge are not particularly clueless, just greedy. They don't want you campaigning to receive an expensive cure when you could go away and just die.

I think I hate Bob. He is destroying our healthcare system. An ignorant, crusading asshole. He swims in sewage-filled rivers, brags about his brainworm, and cuts research programs that he's certain he'll never need.

The partnership between the U.S. government and research institutions was giving the whole world discovery after discovery. We're right on the edge of amazing new ways of approaching diseases.

All crushed by Trump, Musk, and RFK, Jr. I'm certain that their motive is profit. They think their companies can do the same work and then sell it, unlike the open-source free model for scientific discoveries we've used in the U.S. They are wrong. At best China will step in and take over research, and then sell the discoveries. We thought health care was expensive now. Wait ten years.

It's a global tragedy, one of the most spectacular disasters in human history. No exaggeration.

my mother-in-law‘s life after more conventional medical treatments for her advanced cancer failed. She‘s been cancer-free for three years—and that‘s three more years with her beloved grand- and great-grandchildren than she otherwise might not have had. Science rocks!

We had to contend with this very issue when
my mother-in-law was being treated for cancer during the height of COVID-19. Otherwise progressive but unvaccinated friends and family would come to visit her and either refuse to mask or wear the N95 masks that *we* provided below their noses. These selfish nitwits were shown the door with no apologies and no visit.

I remember quite a few "alternative medicine" types populating DU in the early days. They seem to have found other places to spread their woo.

My next door neighbor was a widow named Luie, really a riot, just a fun and funny person. She was 71 or 72 and had beaten bladder cancer once before. When it came back, people in her church group told her Chemo will kill her and that Ivermectin could cure her. So she told her doctors she wouldn't do Chemo, they plead with her to change her mind, but she was going to pray and take Ivermectin and let the chips fall. She died about 3 months later.

Really miss her. She had mopeds for fun and would cruise through the neighborhood on her moped all the time with just a big smile on her face. She also made an incredible wild mushroom soup.
