Aug 2025

1. Implement a ceasefire
2. Return of all hostages
3. Support for Israel's security
4. Address the humanitarian concerns in Gaza, and rebuild Gaza.
5. In addition, Hamas must surrender and lay down its arms, and the Palestinian authority would return to the negotiating table to discuss a two-state solution.

and while none of that would have been easy to achieve, at least it was a blueprint in a positive direction, unlike as you pointed out what Trump said he would do.

Even though in their case, it's even worse, since MAGA actually got their racist dreams fulfilled by buying into rightwing propaganda, but those on the left buying into the anti-Democratic propaganda helped Trump and Netanyahu make sure Gaza as we know it is erased from existence and had a hand in them killing thousands more Palestinians and dooming those that survive to being forever-refugees.

VP Harris had a plan. Pres. Biden was putting pressure on Israel and Hamas.

It makes me so angry when some try to argue that Democrats "did nothing." Tlaib encouraged people to vote "uncommitted" rather than for VP Harris. She helped hand the election to Trump, who is letting Netanyahu do whatever he wants.

It is important that the truth gets told.

President Biden, and then Candidate VP Harris worked their hearts out to try and put and end to this tragedy, and some choose to ignore it, and refused to vote for VP Harris over trump.

And those that played the same game that was done in 2016 that there was no difference between the two parties frankly, are not the sharpest tacks in the box, and the only pattern they have contributed to is helping get Republicans elected, and bringing to where we are today.

I, for one, place a very high level of importance on loyalty to the Democratic party (the real, genuine and actual one, without extra adjectives or modifiers) and I believe it's important to strengthen and grow the Democratic party, not divide, denigrate, or weaken it. Only by doing this can we hope to defeat the GOP and make them an irrelevant minority party.

Surprising., I have been assured more than once on this sight that their is no such thing as a ''Democratic Socialist party' That they are just a further left part of the Democratic party in whole and self described members such as AOC really should quit calling themselves that since 1. It's not accurate, and two, It implies false connotations with "Real Socialists". Well one has to be one or the other I guess, If it's true that they are really just a part of the Democratic party then why was Sanders treated differently by the convention in 16 ? And why use the term Socialist if they really are not a separate party unto themselves? I will always gladly vote for the Democratic candidate however, I will never vote for a socialist one

US congresswoman Rashida Tlaib declines to endorse Kamala Harris over Gaza stance

LONDON: Rashida Tlaib, the first Palestinian American woman in the US Congress, chose not to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris at a recent United Auto Workers rally in Detroit.

The conflict in Gaza has become a major issue for the large Arab American voter base in Michigan, and Tlaib’s non-endorsement on Friday marked a notable departure in her progressive circle, known as the “Squad.”

The other members — Ayanna Pressley, Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — endorsed Harris in July, making Tlaib the sole holdout.

Addressing the rally, Tlaib encouraged those attending to mobilize against corporate interests.

Muslim voters should have never voted for TFG. TFG was always going to side with Bibi and never gave a darn about Gaza or Muslims. Now these voters are realizing their mistake

Trump-backing Muslim voters finally realize they 'made a big mistake': expert: James Zogby, the president of the Arab American Institute, told CNN's Brianna Keilar on Wednesday that many Muslim voters are regretting the decisions they made in the 2024 presidential election.

James Zogby, the president of the Arab American Institute, told CNN's Brianna Keilar on Wednesday that many Muslim voters are regretting the decisions they made in the 2024 presidential election.

As Keilar noted while interviewing Zogby, Trump received a major boost from Muslim voters in 2024 due to anger against the Biden administration for its role in helping the Israeli government's war in Gaza that has killed more than 50,000 Palestinians and that Zogby described to CNN as a "genocide.".....

When asked by Keilar if he'd spoken with any of these voters since the election, he replied that he had and they were firmly against Trump's recently stated desire to ethnically cleanse Gaza by removing all Palestinians from their land.

"Many of [the voters] stayed home, and some of them voted for Donald Trump," he said. "But they are now feeling very clearly that they made a big mistake. And, you know, sort of like the kid who gets in trouble and his parents send him to his room and he goes out there and starts throwing stuff around... in a pique of anger. All he's got is a mess and that's what we've got here.

"People didn't vote for Kamala Harris. They voted for Donald Trump. They had their tantrum. And now look what we got. We got a crazy man in the White House who's doing and projecting things that are really, really problematic."
