… some here and elsewhere think this will have repercussions. I’m afraid they will be disappointed when it doesn’t, and again fall into the “he never pays consequences” despair.

The whiplash isn’t good for us.

if he wasn't using the military as police and police backup, what were they there for?

However, I believe even if it's decided against him, there'll be no repercussions on him, and it definitely won't stop him. Beyond that, he'll just build up ICE into his own personal police force, answerable to no one or anything except him. The Constitution is out the door and into the trash at that point.

Here are the key facts: (🧵1/9)

What do I have to do to see these "key facts"? Clicking takes me to the post on X, but I don't know where to go from there. If this information is in the replies, I can't see them without logging in, which I would very much rather not do.

I understand why some people don't want to stop using X, but a lot of us here really do not want to touch it with a 10 foot pole. It's very frustrating to be presented with what looks like a link to additional information that seems to require logging in to X to access it.

Sorry if I sound like I'm whining. I'm just frustrated, because I'd like to know what those "key facts" are. If I'm being an idiot and missing something somehow, I'd appreciate having it pointed out to me.

Crawling back into my hole now.

I would not have seen the story except by being on X.

I don't like Musk either, but I get too much of my essential news from X, particularly regarding the stock market. The algorithm knows the types of news I tend to click on. I like supporting progressive sources on X, knowing that they can make some money from it.
