Trump will not like Paul Krugman's latest post.
Krugman quoted from historian Hannah Arendt:
"Totalitarianism in power invariably replaces all first-rate talents, regardless of their sympathies, with those crackpots and fools whose lack of intelligence and creativity is still the best guarantee of their loyalty."
"Let me call this Arendts Law: Totalitarian and wannabe totalitarian regimes only hire incompetent hacks," Krugman wrote.

For example, Trump has put a quack with no medical or scientific background in charge of healthcare.
RFK Jr will kill untold thousands, if not millions with his stance on mRNA vaccines.
mRNA technology could be used not just for future COVID or pandemics but for HIV and cancer vaccines.

(15,410 posts)For Shitler, the "best" people are sycophants who place fealty above any sworn oath or ethical consideration.
Quite often this includes people who are unqualified for the office they hold, and perhaps ineffective at accomplishing Shitler's agenda.

(39 posts)Hell no. The Trump crime hacks are crazy but not entirely stupid. Nevertheless, their incompetency is their defining characteristic. They should be running a septic tank pumping business instead of running a government into the sewer.
