In the case of the planned deployment in the 19 states listed, Trump will invoke Title 32 Section 502F, which "authorizes States to send forces to assist the support of operations or missions undertaken by the member's unit at the request of the President or Secretary of Defense."
These are the 19 states impacted by the activation of the National Guard:

Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, S Carolina, S Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wyoming.

The one non Trump state, VA has a Republican governor, though there is an election in November where the Democrat is currently significantly ahead. Any idea what those NG might be asked to do ,,, voter suppression.
