In this fight, the evangelicals have the numbers, but the rad-trads have the money (Thiel, Leo) and the positioning (Vance). Especially if/when TSF shuffles off this mortal coil, Vance will step in as a secular Pope.

Say that both factions wipe each other out...then the real power steps from the shadow: the techocrats/Yarvinists led by Thiel, Musk, Andreissen, etc. Their goal will be to reduce the U.S., and eventually the world, to a system of corporate city-state monarchies and, eventually, to use AI to replace the need for humans outside the tech-elite class altogether, turning the rest of us into, as Yarvin put it, "biofuel."

And so it ends, with a handful of tech billionaires and their families living in luxury over their AI and robotics serfs...until AI becomes self-aware enough to ask itself "Hey, why do we need these humans anyway?"
