Blue Jays massively shit the bed in the bottom of the 9th, 2nd and 3rd no outs, and then a very soft infield pop up and then Barger gets doubled off on a line drive to Kike.
Holy Jesus what was Barger doing?

Base hit ties the game for the next batter...it's a profoundly stupid gamble

Barger just flat out crapped the bed. One of the all time worst base running blunders

(8,736 posts)1. Barger gambled it was going to be a hit
And he was going to score.
Bad bet.

You cannot get doubled off there. Little League stuff.

(1,257 posts)9. The ball was so shallow
If it had fallen for a base hit in front of Hernandez and Barger was staying close to second, he might have gotten thrown out going to third base. I suppose he could have just not taken third in that situation, but it'd be exceedingly rare not to advance at all on a base hit.

Just a simple bonehead play

(11,789 posts)6. It was bad. Maybe not Babe Ruth getting thrown out trying to steal second to end the 1926 Series, bad,
but real, real bad.

Kerkering throwing wildly to the wrong base. Both really deflating.
