I'm getting up in years. I don't remember this ever happening before. An anonymous DUer is offering to match dollar for dollar up to the maximum $3,500 donation on the special election for the US House December second. This offer is good through Monday morning.
Tennessee's 7th Congressional District is holding a special election to replace a disgraced Republican who sold out his constituents to pass Trump's budget and immediately resigned. We can narrow the House Majority even more if we flip this seat We can force a vote on releasing the Epstein files against Donald Trump and Mike Johnson's wishes.
We currently have raised $4,701. So this is the starting point for the match.
In other words, your donation will be doubled.
This is for Aftyn Behn TN-7.
Donate here: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/duforaftyn
Please give this an R and help keep this kicked for the weekend!

(6,876 posts)Im working with the Indivisible group that represents this District, Dist 7. Join a zoom call with Ezra Levin of Indivisible (national) on Thursday of this week to hear what you can do to help besides donating money. https://www.mobilize.us/indivisible/event/869063/
The repub has Bezos $ and other billionaires contributing millions against Behn. She is taking only grassroots $, no PAC $.
Find out how you can join the community that upends this red district at https://www.aftynforcongress.com/?fbclid=IwY2xjawN8WYBleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFJenI0MTRCQnk5RnliM3VRc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHufvDMmGzFN7OT2uClc5YDrOOkUDjAQjU8a3iA9Las1hUBNFJ7-42dSEf957_aem_6NfYhI9Opht-0Xy5kNChlQ

(12,665 posts)The data is mixed, but if you are from somewhere perceived as having "no clue" about the concerns of the people you are calling, it can do more harm than good. I sent money to the campaign, but I also sent money to the TN state Democratic party.
Strengthening state party infrastructure and outreach packs a punch. State parties know their issues and voters. Campaigns that are perceived to "parachute in" without tight coordination with a strong state party infrastructure are less effective.

(6,876 posts)so few people answer an unknown caller. If thats true, calling from a person that doesnt know local issues should nullify the concern, but no system is going to be flaw free.
Thank you so much for your donation to her campaign and the TNDP! It is so needed and appreciated. People seem to write off good candidates in red states. Aftyn is out knocking doors every day. Shes fighting hard. She inspires me to do the same.
