I couldn’t afford a 50 year mortgage. If I wait til I am in my late 20s or early 30s and by some great miracle I could afford it, I would be in my 80s. Of course I would still be working because Social Security would be long gone. Now if I do live long enough to pay it off, would I be in the Barron Trump Dynasty or the Adolph Miller one?

I would be in my 80s when I paid it off. Or a lot earlier if I was a congressman.

10 year car payment, forever health insurance payments, etc. etc. It’s like you’ll never get out of debt.
