One step at a time. I'm sure it is scary. My husband went through cancer surgery and radiation followup six months after we bought our house in Delaware. I was a nervous wreck and he was scared, too. Perfectly normal. The good news is that surgical and cancer approaches have made enormous advances.

It would be more concerning if you weren't nervous about surgery, but it's totally normal to feel that way. Writing down your concerns so you can make sure you ask your surgeons about them might ease your burden a bit.
