Nixon wouldn't recognize the Republican party today

The brief was "name any accomplishments" from the GOP, not "show bothsiderism"

CHIP (child insurance ) Clinton
Flip economy after bad Republican economic policies led to recessions or depressions (FDR, Clinton, Obama, Biden)
WIC (feeding children and moms) LBJ

That flip the economy from bad republican policy is the one that they never get credit for.

Never mind, I answered it for you: there were just eight votes against the ADA in both chambers, with all eight being Republican votes (because business interests opposed it, as did religious groups because of its protections for HIV+).

PS - A Democrat (Tom Harkin) wrote the final bill and Democrats controlled both chambers of Congress when this bill was passed for Bush's signature, which was not even needed because it passed with a veto-proof majority.
