The new guidance also includes instructions to report any diversity, equity and inclusion laws in the workplace, any policies that support gender transition surgeries for children and any policies that facilitate mass migration into other countries.
Also targeted are so-called hate speech laws, like the internet safety laws adopted by some European countries to deter online hate speech, which the human rights report will now consider violations of free speech.

Former senior State Department official and head of the Human Rights First charity Uzra Zeya told the BBC that the rules reflect "jaw-dropping" animosity towards LGBTQ+ people and said "attempting to label DEI as a human rights violation sets a new low in the Trump administration's weaponization of international human rights." Amanda Klasing of Amnesty International USA told AFP, a global news agency, that the new standards send the message that the US no longer believes in the foundational element of the human rights system it helped build.

They want DEI replaced by CIE - conformity, injustice, exclusion.

(238 posts)So those who are opposed to DEI are in favor of having a monoculture with no diversity, and want an individual's rights to be unequal and also want to exclude those "others" who don't look or behave like them. But who decides all of this? By now, a majority of people are so racially and culturally blended that it is pointless to pursue such a policy of us vs them. Diversity is a basic rule of biology since it leads to more chances for survival of the human species. So it is also suicidal to promote these policies.

(22,725 posts)The increments of pacifying the insanity will stop. The frog in the water analogy is in play. Rather than waiting for the water to boil, more and more people will hop out.
Human rights violations are enslaving women, kidnapping people, sending military and quasi-military thugs to American cities and the rest of the cruel and inhuman treatment of people. There will be hell to pay and I hope soon.

(458 posts)I can hardly wait to get back to segregated schools and businesses, and all straight white male businesses and/or management.
Just wait, I'd be willing to bet that out environmental protection laws are next.
They want to get rid of every law that prevents straight, white, males from doing whatever they please.

So rested he by the Tumtum tree
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
