He was charged Thursday with leaving pipe bombs outside the Republican National Committee and Democratic National Committee in the hours before Donald Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol

Trump has falsely claimed the 2020 election was "rigged."

Cole was charged with transporting an explosive device and attempted malicious destruction by means of explosive materials, according to charging documents. The FBI has not publicly cited a motive.

The pipe bombs he's accused of planting were found the day of the Jan. 6 riot, though investigators have said they were place near the RNC and DNC on Jan. 5.

Even though he didn't have a "pending indictment" at the time, I can't imagine that if a future Democratic administration tried to indict more people for their actions on January 6th that the argument from the right would be that this wording would cover any future indictments as well.

I think his lawyers will have a valid argument that he can't be prosecuted.

There are, of course, individuals with anti-social features in both the Democratic and republican party, and certainly in the larger group of registered independents ..... as well as among unregistered individuals. I'm not sure who the "they" you refer to might be that might be confused. The FBI would not be confused, as his personality features allowed them to identify and arrest him. So I suspect it might be the corporate media. In my opinion, their intent is to confuse the public. But all of this is really rather simple.

And their how can these two things be true reporting.
