If a reasonably trustworthy list isn't already being maintained somewhere accessible, I'd suggest to give it another go here, using existing code so therefore a forum style probably; maybe with a special set of volunteer "moderators" - "curators"? - who would collaborate on what gets included and keeping the place useful rather than messy.

I would hope the Dem national party is doing this (but in a true knowledge base format with actual paid people taking care of it). But that would be used internally and not widely available.
