And now, the mainstream media have gone from incompetent to fully complicit in the true fascism.

I too live in the Deep South. (My heart remains in California.). People here are extremely conservative. It is the least favorite part of the USA that I have ever lived. The mindset seems be "conform or move away, we do not like outsiders."

The billionaire-owned mass media has spewed right-wing propaganda for decades. There are simply no liberal, truthful equivalents to Fox "News," Sinclair, etc. Even the major networks we have always considered neutral (ABC,CBS,NBC) are part of the media monopoly and are biased heavily to the right. Humans are gullible and propaganda works.

If you ever talk to a Republican voter (MAGA) they don't fly off the page as well educated people with a firm grasp of reality. They come off as deeply stupid and disturbing fuck faces. The 2024 election was deeply disturbing in showing just how many of these people there are. It's scary how many just awful humans live in this country.

GUNS and RELIGION bullshit. Maybe, just MAYBE when some of their kids start dying from disease's they might change? This stupidity has got to stop.

Most of them are magas. We had 15 people on Thanksgiving 5 of us were liberals.No politics discussed but they are firm in their magacult and most of them between the ages of 27 and 45.

1. The media just doesn't do their job. I'm not talking about just Fox News. Every outlet needs to call an equal number if fouls on Republicans and Democrats. There was a time when you might could say both parties are bad but today the Republicans are more corrupt, they've presided over vastly more recessions in the last 40 years, they do more to give themselves the leg up to win elections, and more. I honestly hate most of the Democratic leadership, but as far as which party I prefer it's not close.

2. The Democrats are AWFUL at branding. They're seen as the party that only cares about how diverse the aristocracy is and not the working class party.

3. Dems just don't fight in politics well enough. There's no real killer instinct.

though there was some sexism on potentially Democratic voters side.

Plus some anti-ntellectualism, some stupidity, and in "owning the libs" while suffering under drumphf's & Repugs policies.

The Koch bros. et al instituted this eons ago. The Tea Party and everything that followed was scripted to create a population that was so stupid, gullible, and easy to control to enable their rise to power and the horrors we’re living in right now.
