I've had all three camera feeds bookmarked for months. I fear the volcano watching has become like porn for me.
For days now, I've checked in to see nothing but billowing white smoke. "Stop with the smoke," I tell the screen. "We already have a new Pope."
Then, a few spritzes of lava appear above the fissures, before disappearing into the clouds of smoke. "Stop teasing me!" I scold the volcano. "Mama needs to see some hot lava action."
As of the time of this posting, Mama is getting her fill of Hot Lava Action.

Pour one out to the old V3cam, which gave its life in the pursuit of science and provided a front row seat to an amazing phenomenon of Nature.

I have been very fortunate to visit Kilauea national park. Its an experience I will never forget.
