Russia praises US security strategy shift heralded by ‘strong’ Trump

Vladimir Putin’s press secretary on Sunday praised U.S. President Donald Trump’s controversial new National Security Strategy as largely in line with Russia’s view of the world.

Moscow's public acknowledgement of the alignment between the former Cold War enemies underlines how much cozier their relationship has become since Trump returned to office earlier this year.

"The adjustments we are seeing, I would say, are largely consistent with our vision, and perhaps we can hope that this could be a modest guarantee that we will be able to constructively continue our joint work on finding a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, at the very least," said Dmitriy Peskov per local media.

In an interview, Peskov said Trump’s administration differs fundamentally from previous U.S. governments and that the president is able to change the country's foreign policy orientation because he is "strong".

Trump's policies and actions in regard to Ukraine have tended to favor the Russians. Trump appears to have put the blame for the war on Ukraine and has put tremendous pressure on Ukraine to cede to Russia's demands. Trump regularly criticizes Zelenskyy while praising Putin.

Greed is an enormous weakness when you are up against Former KGB and the richest man (undocumented but highly accurate assessment) in the world, as Putin is rumored to be.

He's going to play to President Psychopath's weaknesses. One big one is his greed. He couldn't care less about his evil deeds.

His rich friends who may most likely be on the "list" threatening him would be more of a concern to him. Especially if he looses their financial support because they are prosecuted and lose their wealth.

11. Rationalization of their own immoral behavior
12. Will attempt to lay blame upon someone else for their own conduct
13. Denial, will deny their own wrongdoing outright
14. Utter contemptuousness toward the feelings and desires of their fellow beings
15. Pathological lying, will say anything without any concern for truth to advance their own hidden agendas
16. Ablity to feign [fake] normal human emotions and empathy
17. Distorted sense of the consequences of their actions
18. Total failure to accept any responsibility for their own socially irresponsible ways
19. Strong bellef that they will never be brought to justice for their criminal behavior
