Talking heads and experts and panelists talk about what he needs to do or should do or should say, like he has EVER independently done the right thing or operated from a place of reason. Like that’s even a possibility. Or he’s ever demonstrated the capacity for change. Like he hasn’t shown us what he is over a freaking decade-plus.

There are several extremely ill psychopaths in his administration. The two doing the most damage are Stephen Miller and Russell Vought. But they are hardly outliers. We have been facing an existential crisis since January 20th, 2025. And yet little of substance is being done to face the threat.

The millions of people that voted for him and continue to support him knowing full well what he is are the problems.
And organizations with anti-democratic and evil agendas that use him to enact their plans are the problems.

I have had heartburn since the 90s seeing where this was headed. He highjacked it, but the gaslighting/brainwashing from the right which their people have guzzled up for going on a half century is what got us to the point to put the man child in charge, not once, but twice.

Said what would happen if he and his MAGATs gained control of all three branches of government.

But no, I was an alarmist, a concern troll, a doom-sayer, a chicken little and told what couldn't possibly happen because, ' gross usurpation of power' something something.

These media have honed the tools of propaganda. They feed on the the emotions of resentment and fear to which most people are vulnerable to some degree, and amplify those emotions into hatred of anyone not a member of their 'tribe'. Fox News is pitched at about a 5th grade level of intellect, so it attracts a large viewership of followers who can only handle simplistic viewpoints. It becomes easy to brainwash those people into whatever Fox News wants them to think. In particular, liberals are demonized to the extent that Trump seems to be the only alternative. Anyway, that is my view.

That just doesn't compute for far to many.

For decades from now, historians will be contending with the confluence of dysfunctional government, massive transfer of wealth from the many to the few, and simultaneous transfer to the old at the expense of the young, combined with a multi-trillion dollar propaganda infrastructure fomenting rage at the wrong targets, while alienating people from their own power to shape their government (and instead declaring the government of We the People as the enemy)... And the question of how, out of all of that, enough people lashed out with their votes and elected a clearly sick man -- and thereby, essentially said "burn it all the hell down."

Some way, some how, the sleeping giant of the American people will wake and roar, and perhaps give us a shot at actually bringing about transformative change.

I just hope it happens before I shuffle off this mortal coil.

As far as trying to figure out Dump's narcissism, I gave up on that long ago. What I keep trying to figure out is the good for shit GOP Congress that doesn't do anything to stop his destruction of our society.

Until, as they say, "the cows come home," one of our several weak points. Fortunately, we have many more strong points, including the obvious ones of not being criminals, cheaters, grifters, and liars, all now conspicuous, distinctive repub trademarks.

We need to figure out what makes so many people support him. They have to be as sick as he is.
