President Donald Trump made the bizarre suggestion that 6G cellular networks allow seeing "a little bit deeper view into somebody's skin."

During a Wednesday meeting with business leaders, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon told Trump that 6G networks were on the horizon.

"I was a leader on 5G, getting that down," Trump volunteered. "And now they're up to six. Let's do it again. What does that do? Give you a little bit deeper view into somebody's skin? See how perfect it is. I like the cameras from the old days. So they just had a nice feature.

I was pretty gobsmacked when I played a clip of it and I HATE hearing his voice.

He slurs badly in the clip I heard at the beginning and then rambles his way through.

Thinking alcohol alone just isn't up to that rather-daunting task.

One would have be straight-up tripping balls, I think

is a dermatologist has been consulted about something or other and uses something that sounds like 6G. Maybe a squeegee?

He's thinking about video resolution. These days, everyone's phones take photos in 4K resolution. Pretty fancy. Now, extrapolate that up to 5K or even 6K.

5K images are a commonplace now. Search Google for 6K images and you'll find the next level. More and more detail and so on.

I think that's what Trump is talking about, but confusing it with cell phone's 5G versions.

He's not all that bright, is Trump.

You get those 6K images and you can look almost into people's skin. That's what our moronic President is thinking about, and expressing so poorly.

15. Modern phones can take *photos* at higher than 6K resolution

Just mentioning that because the max/limit resolutions on photos and videos are different but you started talking about video resolution then switched to photo mid-paragraph

My phone (a 2025 higher-end Samsung) takes up to 8K video, but it takes photos up to 50MP, which is a higher pixel count than 8K (33.2MP)

Also 6K as a resolution, while it can be mathematically calculated (5760×3240 pixels, for roughly 18.7 million pixels aka 18.7MP) is not really a 'thing', there's 4K and 8K TV's, there is not and will likely never be a 6K TV (though there's a couple PC monitors that are pretty close to "6K" ).

What I'm on about is there's not really an excuse/explanation along the lines you are (generously) offering for IQ47 that makes much sense. I think what's happening is Pathological Narcissists have to come off like they know everything about every subject they're asked about. Add the symptoms of FTD (tendency towards confabulation being a primary symptom) to his NPD, and we get these jumbled stews of utter bullshit.

IOW I think it's not a mistake, as such, he's just a narcissist and confabulator, compulsively pulling nonsense out of his ass
