Wow! The flooding in the Seattle area is really bad!

Interstates are closed in several areas and Auburn Wa for the most part is flooded with about 5 feet of water. This after several inch of rain that filled the rivers low line areas.

Hope if any DUers are affected, you’re safe.

My daughter in law’s Montessori school is closed though not flooded. Every road to get there is. I-90 is shut down by a landslide and half the Snoqualmie Valley is under water. I’ve got a friend who just made it home from surgery before their entire area was shut off. People are being evacuated and shelters are looking for fosters. The governor is saying all the governor things, hoping FEMA still functions somehow, and we’re all waiting to see what $#!+ h34d has to say. If we can get through without federal aid, Cascadia might become a thing.

This is Snoqualmie Falls, regular and now. For those interested it’s the one they show in Twin Peaks.

The weather is really weird up there.

My sister lives in Bellingham and she says it's warm
for the season, so the water also flows down from
the mountain because it's not snowing like it
usually does.

I have been in touch with family who live in the area and they say they are okay so far. They are in Bellevue.

I've been to Snoqualmie Falls and looking at current flow is really scary. I've seen North Bend flooded before but not like this.

Auburn is flanked by a couple of rivers, the White on the South side and the Green on the East.

Here in Kent we've been OK so far though there has been serious puddling and clogged drains, etc. I hear the golf course about a mile west of me is flooded. No surprise. It's right on the river and AFAIK there are no dikes there.

More rain tonight.

Earlier today I did a grocery run to the Safeway in Orting. The highway was open and clear, with the Puyallup/Carbon Rivers at flood stage and some side roads closed. I've been set to evacuate if ordered to. I feel so sorry for those affected by the floods

It's no longer raining in the Puyallup River Valley, and the roads are dry.

Hope that gives the river a chance to recede a little...
