Nutlick is disgusting.
FOX: If you cut something by 100%, the cost goes down to 0. If you cut it by 600%, the drug companies are actually paying you

LUTNICK: What he's saying is if a drug was 0 and you bring it down to , it's down 7 times
F: Not a 600% cut
L: But it's 700% higher price before. It's down 700% now

(10,446 posts)Math can't be manipulated. There is only one correct Percent change between 2 numbers. It's a foundational rule in math that a positive number can not be reduced by more than 100% and remain a positive number. What Lutnick is doing is not a mathematical calculation of percent change - it's simply total bullshit.

(10,446 posts)Something Lutnick and Trump are too stupid to know is that Prescription Drug prices are measured as part of the CPI. The CPI for November was released today, and the ove-the-year increase in Prescription Drug prices was 1.9% (slightly lower than overall inflation - thanks to previous Democratic Legislation that lowered some prices) but nowhere near dropping. The most reccent over the month change for Prescription Drugs was 0.3%, the same as the overall OTM inflation rate.
