(103,786 posts)I awoke on Saturday to find I had NO communications functioning at all, for 18 hours! No cell phone service, no internet, not even analogue radio!

(103,786 posts)The good part is that the power was still functioning so I had heat and water. Did leave me wondering how extensive it was, turned out to be local. I guess the wind storm took out some repeater or something, not sure of the system here in my new location yet but I suspect it was some major communications component for this little town.
