Those of you steadfastly awaiting the release of the complete and unredacted Epstein Files, might find yourself waiting a tad longer, like say
forever.
There is no chance any authentic version of these files - anything even resembling the original content - is going to see the light of day.
The backers of this fascist movement have way too much invested to ever allow that to happen. Thats why theyve done everything in their power to distract and delay, with their efforts reaching epic, almost comedic, proportions.
The DOJ has now had more than enough time to completely whitewash anything incriminating to Trump, and whoever else is being protected. Anything that cant be cleansed will disappear, or theyll call it a hoax.
But theres a flip side to it all.
When a mob boss is indicted, then threatens to kill anyone who testifies or presents evidence against him, his subsequent acquittal does not point to his innocence.
Quite the opposite.
It means he obviously was guilty, and everyone knows it.
The same principle applies in the case of the Epstein Files.
The verdict is already in. Hes guilty and everyone knows it.
Files or no files.

(2,839 posts)And I've yet to see any solid proof they are NOT muzzled in some way by the DoJ.
I even think it's possible that everything they actually HAVE was *first* confiscated by the DoJ, processed, then given back to them after the Maxwell prosecution. The Estate might not have everything there once was, and in some cases, not even realize that they don't have everything.
A good example is the supposed videos Epstein took of all the goings on. If the DOJ confiscated such videos for their intended Epstein prosecution circa 2019, which one would hope they did (if there were such things), it would be outright ILLEGAL for them to turn around and hand them back to the Estate. Right?
So, to me it's very possible the Estate has ONLY what the DoJ (and this probably would've been Biden's DoJ) decided they were allowed to have back. And anything they might release on their own now? They might be required to get DoJ clearance before they do so. I personally don't know of them addressing that particular supposition, so I think it's logical to presume they have limited, or no, latitude WRT what they put out there, since we lack proof otherwise.

If they can find agreement among them that the executive branch needs to feel much more heat from the legislative branch BEFORE the next presidential election.

(5,097 posts)We're always waiting for the next tranche of files to be released or the next indictments to drop or "will he or won't he be impeached again" when the facts are already out there and are already damning. What we need is for more people to look at what we already know, to engage their brains about it and to give a shit.
